Deerfield Beach, Florida is a upbeat ocean side community
of just over 60,000 lying along
the Atlantic Ocean, just South of
Boca Raton and 20 miles north of
Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Deerfield
Beach began humbly as a pineapple
farming area in the early 1900s,
and continued as a small farming
community until the late 1940s.
As the popularity of the South Florida’s
Gold Coast grew, so did the city
of Deerfield Beach, and today it
is a dynamic coastal town with an
exciting beach front buzzing with activity. And right in the
heart of this hot little beach community
is JB’s On The Beach!
In the year 2000, Deerfield Beach
received the Blue Wave Award for
one of the most pristine beaches
in the state of Florida. Deerfield
Beach is also home to a picturesque
920-foot fishing pier, open to the
public 24 hours per day. JB’s
is located right on this lovely
beach and steps from the world famous
pier.
The city of Deerfield Beach holds
weekly dances on the beach with
live entertainment in the summer.
There are also several special events
during the year, and other activities
such as children’s lessons,
activities and sports. More than
fifty golf courses dot the area,
and all types of fishing is available,
including deep-sea, drift boat and
fishing off the pier. It also has
some of the best parks in South
Florida including Pioneer Park,
Constitution Park, Westside Park
and Mayo Howard Park. All our parks
are well maintained and have boat
ramps, tennis courts, walking trails
and playgrounds for children.
